I haven't tried the desserts yet, but I'm trusting that they'll be very good by how they look! I am so glad I found this place because I have celiac disease and their entire restaurant is gluten-free, including their soy sauce! The tofu they're currently using is non-GMO.
Everything was fresh and flavored nicely. Some of the things like the brussels sprouts were roasted a little too brown for my liking, as I prefer to avoid ingesting acrylamides. Acrylamides can cause cancer and often are a result of heavy charring. Healthwise, the food was on the salty side. I have a lower threshold for saltines than most people. And there were also some hidden sugars in perhaps some of the sauces and maybe the coconut rice? I'll have to check their website and see if they list ingredients.
When I called to ask about the tofu and the gluten, the woman who answered the phone was very helpful and even checked in the walk-in for me to see what brand of tofu they're using, so I'm sure they will be transparent and answer questions about which products sugar may be added to.
Everything was packaged well in paper bowls .
This is a wonderful new option for me to know about . They have vegetarian and meat options and even gluten-free macaroni and cheese!
I tried as many things as I could that were vegetarian. The Buffalo Cauliflower was very good! The green beans were fresh and garlicky. The roasted sweet potatoes were simple but delicious. All the different noodles I had were an indulgence for me: the mac & cheese and the sesame noodles that tasted more like Sriracha to me then sesame. Maybe it got mixed with something else. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong. Maybe they are Sriracha cilantro noodles?
The tofu is cooked simply. I love that there are so many vegetable choices. This is nutritious comfort food.

Excellent food!!! Super fresh, cooked great, steak was tender. The cilantro vinaigrette was amazing!!! Definitely enough for 2. Will definitely order again and again.

I'm OBSESSED! The food is so fresh and the flavors are delicious! The BBQ chicken tastes like it was grilled on a backyard BBQ. They give great portions for the price too. I am a repeat customer and will keep coming back.

The MAHANA BOWL (OO).. was ok. The roasted sweet potatoes was dry. The teriyaki chicken didn't taste like teriyaki and it was also dry. It's like they didn't mix the chicken before they put it in the bowl so all the dry ones are the ones I got. The roasted mushroom tasted ok but also dry. It didn't taste fresh and the portion was very small. I like the sauce. The KIDS MAC & CHEESE (OO).. tasted good. The portion was good. I just wish the amount chicken was more. Maybe I'll order one more time just to see because maybe they are not always like this.

I recently tried the combination of Mac and REGULAR MAC & CHEESE (OO).. with roasted sweet potatoes and teriyaki chicken with a side of cilantro vinaigrette and it was tasty! The flavors blended together very well. I also appreciated the Buy One Get One (BOGo) deal. It made it easy to grab a bowl for myself and save the second one for my spouse's dinner. The ordering process of seamless; I love having the option to schedule a specific pick up timeframe that works for my schedule. I will definitely be ordering from Mahana fresh again. I'm looking forward to try another one of their featured items next time.
