Wow! Ive been on a mission to try new places and Makai was next on the list when I had my typical Hawaiian bbq craving that pops up every two weeks . I got the Large with Katsu , teriyaki chicken , terriyaki steak Mac salad and rice. All of it was delicious, katsu was crispy yet tender. I couldn't tell the difference between the terriyaki and katsu sauces I didn't know which was which or if they forgot katsu which is usually sweeter/thicker in my experience but either way I was very pleased. I especially loved the charred taste on the beef .

I dont know what 3-4 family members they said that can feed small portion for $50. The portion is just enough for two members, if that.
Gave it at least 2-stars because the flavor is at least ok. Very disappointed and will not give this place a second chance, since I'm NOT WOW'd by price and value, nor the authenticity of flavors.

Food was good, meat just had a little bit of fat I needed to sort through in the Chicken Katsu and Chicken Teriyaki.
