• 2/24/22Our favorite takeout! The Hot and Numbing fish is a must-try if you like that tingly Szechuan pepper flavor. We always get that but have also enjoyed everything else we've tried on the menu; Ants Climbing Trees is in our regular rotation, as is the Beijing Chicken and Eggplant and the Fish Fragrant Tofu. Triple C wings are awesome--saucy, peanutty umami with a bit of spice--and a generous portion.

• 3/27/24Chow mein tiny. Only a 3rd of the togo box was filled and there was barely any shrimp.
Chinese broccoli also did not have a lot and was too gingery.
Fish was okay.
Way too overpriced for what you get. You can find much cheaper and better on doordash.

• 11/28/25I just tried Mama Ji’s and WOW — the flavors were incredibly authentic and comforting. The beef and shrimp chow fun tasted like true Asian street-style cooking with perfectly seasoned noodles, and the shrimp chow mein was fresh, savory, and full of that classic wok-kissed flavor. The crispy spring rolls were golden, airy, and exactly what you’d expect from real Asian comfort food. Mama Ji’s feels like a taste of home-cooked authenticity. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

• 7/3/26The Mama Ji's Country-Style Shrimp and Sichuan Beef were so spicy that it completely overshadowed the actual taste and flavor of the ingredients...disappointing.
The Crispy Spring Roll had kind of a soapy aftertaste at one point.
Sorry for the critical review but was hoping for better quality given the good reviews + expensive prices of the entrees.

• 10/16/22The chonquing Chongqing Chicken here has always been a favorite, but they've changed something and now Ivan say it's the best sichuan chicken in SF, hands down. Get the fried rice with veggies (includes broccoli and asparagus ), and shrimp & pea dumplings. Perfect lunch
