I've had Manny's 1/2 pound prime rib Philly with extra onions and provolone cheese, twice, and they were ecstasy - both times. Add the cheese curds or onion rings and the to-die-for shakes (strawberry with extra strawberry and their PB with extra peanut butter, Reese's chunks, and whipped cream.) Seriously good. I'm a foodie, so I should know. They were like the Phillys in Redding Terminal Market in Philly, itself. Delish! The unimpressive, bland, moderately warm (to be fair, it is a fair distance away, but still), bland (yes, I said it twice, but it bears repeating) regular Philly I ate this evening? Not so much and that's being kind. The fries had an amazing flavor, but they were cold when I got them. I'm going to be fair and assume that was an issue with Door Dash and more orders than drivers. Furthermore, if one considers the distance, it's only natural that drivers want to make it a profitable trip, so they likely (and wisely) group their trips. That takes time. But, still. After two such amazing visits, a bit pricey, but worth it, I was highly disappointed. I would definitely not order that again, for sure. I suspect that if I were to order it for pickup and order the customized upgrade, and head straight home, I'll be wowed even more than before and I'm definitely going to have to try another one of their shakes. Mmmm.
