me + my partner each got the Beef & Veggie Mini Plate, a Spam musubi for him and a Side of Mac Salad for me.
the Beef & Veggie Mini Plate is plenty for one person, you get two ice-cream like scoops of rice, steamed cabbage, broccoli, and carrot, and slices of beef. each portion is 1/3 of the plate, very hot and fresh when my partner went to go pick it up. the beef was a little tough and took a lot of chewing but otherwise had a neat char, salty, and flavorful. if you're trying to get something for a kid, maybe get the mini plate with chicken since it's softer and flakier here, easier to chew. nonetheless, the beef was still really good and i finished all of it.
the mac salad is a large ice cream scoop, a little on the sweeter side i think than others i've tried but i really enjoyed it nonetheless, just figured it was something to mention in case of other's preferences.
the spam musubi is an order of one, but for the price it's really worth it. it was very thick, generous helpings of rice on a well marinated and sauced slice of fried spam wrapped in seaweed, it was really good! my partner and i split it!
i don't usually leave reviews but i've eaten here a few times and are usually ready for pickup even before the estimated time on doordash. staff have been accommodating and helpful, very generous with sauces and napkins. will return often :)

HB location doesnt compare to the original location in Anaheim. There was barely any meat on the #1 Beef Rib Plate "Sam's Plate", it was mostly bone. The amount of meat in the #7 Beef & Kalbi Plate was also lacking. The Extra Matiki Sauce containers were barely halfway filled

5 pieces of beef, 3 pieces of chicken jerky with partially cooked rice for almost $20. Matiki should check their quality control. Pretty nasty. Not like the Matiki I remembered from high school days. 👎

Chicken was terribly dry. Kalbi ribs were perfect-not much fat at all. Ordered a side of Spam musubi for $5.99 & it only came with one.

We ordered 3 different items (chicken, beef, and short rib plates). All 3 proteins were extremely dry and overcooked.
We also ordered spam masubis. The rice in the masubi was too mushy and there was way too much rice packed into each masubi. The only positive was the Mac salad.
I would not order from here
