The Samurai Ramen was perfect. The broth had the perfect lip feel. Genuinely made with bone broth. The soft boiled egg was also perfect. The container kept the ingredients separated from the broth and at the same time, steamed themto keep everything the perfect temperature. Outstanding!

the price for the portion is pretty dang high. I've never paid this much for an Unagi bowl and received so little. 7+ for half a sandwich where the only ingredients are bread, whipped cream. and fruit is insane. I wouldn't be so incensed at the pricing if the quality of the unagi was good. I've had better from the frozen section in the grocery store.

The food was just alright. It wasnt worth the price point on my opinion. For $17, I paid for a bowl of ramen with an egg, two leaves of bok choy, the smallest amount of green onions/corn, and two slices of pork. It was enough food for one person, but it would have done better with more veggies. I could go somewhere else, pay $14, and get much more in the bowl. The flavor of the chicken broth was good and I liked how the eggs were prepared.
With regard to the pickup service, theres really no one to greet you when you come inside. So I was standing at the bar for a few minutes before anyone realized I was there. And the server/host just handed my food and immediately walked away before I could ask for anything else. Although it was just a pickup, I think there could be a better experience overall.
Im glad I tried it, although I wouldnt go again nor recommend this to anyone.

Their curry sauce was just terrible, the cheapest curry bar flavor and texture you can imagine and still identify as Japanese Curry. The rice portions were pretty small. The kokeroke was decent but heavy to the point of feeling more like a breaded meatball. I've given them a few tries over the years and the experience has been consistently bad. I lived in Japan for years, their menu is an abuse of words and salt.

Ngl I thought I was ordering from Mensho, but it was pretty decent. Broth has the mouthfeel and packaging was nice. The char shui was a little weird like it was boild or something
