This seafood yakisoba was incredibly flavorful and exceeded all expectations. The noodles were perfectly stir-fried—soft with just the right hint of char—and soaked up the rich, savory sauce beautifully. The seafood was fresh and well-cooked: juicy shrimp, tender scallops, and plump mussels all added amazing depth and a delicious taste of the ocean. The sautéed vegetables—carrots, cabbage, onion, mushrooms, and broccoli—were vibrant and crisp, providing a perfect balance of texture and flavor. Every bite was satisfying, and the portion was generous. You can really tell care went into the preparation. Highly recommend if you’re craving something hearty, fresh, and packed with flavor!

Chirashi Miso Ramen California Roll This place used to be so good but the portion sizes have drastically decreased. The Miso Ramen came with only 2 pieces of very very thin and dry chashu. The Chirashi had very thin sashimi, definitely not a bang for your buck. The mackerel and snapper sashimi was mushy which isn't a good quality. The salmon was thin but fatty and had a nice flavor. The california roll had an okay flavor but the roll itself was so small.

I've only lived in Santa Maria for about 2 years and Mikado has always been my favorite place to eat!! Their portions are great for value, they package your food well when ordering takeout, all the ingredients always taste fresh and are packed with flavor! The prices are excellent and going in person the servers are always so professional! Love the experience of Mikado

The spicy sashimi salad was super soggy. Small pieces of fish and honestly the rolls were very small too, the only thing worth it was the sashimi sushi combo. The California roll in that was twice the size of the one I bought on the side. I have a 6" 12 yo boy to feed and this wont do. I hoped to not cook but... I guess I'll have to fix something on the side.

The Miso Ramen was very delicious, with a smooth taste to the broth and with a tasty char on the chicken. The serving of broth and noodles is generous enough for a meal. The Johnny Roll is tasty, fresh, and a nice light alternative to the rolls with all the rice that fill you up fast. I love Mikado's and I'll always order again.
