Still one of my top favorites places to eat! Best Fried Fish- side and Honey Butter Biscuits (2) in DC! The fried lobster and salmon are uniquely prepared and so tasty, not overly battered or over- cooked. I miss the full restaurant but the cafe still delivers!

I ordered the Chef Sammy's Award Winning Shrimp & Grits and the grits were so bland. The shrimp was cooked well and seasoned, but the grits were so terrible I took them home (ordered at work) to season them and make them edible. The Crispy Smashed Pottatoes were ok. The green peppers and onions with it were raw and the portion was really small.

The location away from the wharf is the best. I love the Chef Sammy's Award Winning Shrimp & Grits but when I order from the wharf location it's like I'm getting old dry leftovers every time. I was using this order to determine if I'd ever buy from them again and I was not disappointed!!! 10/10 (for this location)

Chef Sammy's Award Winning Shrimp & Grits very few shrimp. Way more sausage. The sausage helped the flavor but there were soo many. Better name would be sausage & grits with a few baby gulf shrimp tossed in.

I love ordering from here when I'm in DC. The Blackened Salmon & Grits* was perfect this time! The Honey Butter Biscuits* are good too but I noticed the price increased on everything since late summer. $6.80 is just outrageous for two biscuits. Also, a lot of the menu isn't available for some reason, so my bf's favorite was no longer available for order. As much as I love this place, I probably won't order again if prices continue to go up.
