The Varenyky with Potatoes was delicious and filling! Definitely home cooking style. The Napoleon was delightfully flaky and not overly sweet.

For twice as much as what Tranktir charges I expected this to be almost home like quality of food. My bad... some sour cream, some dill on a side might also be nice. The blintzes sauce was on a side in a plastic container, so the blintzes themselves came dry, instead of saturated in a wonderful buttery mushroom flavor. The attempt for a salo and black rye bread on a side - a nice thought, but maybe use actual salo instead of bacon or slab and please, do not put it between the hot dishes!

We love this place especially that this is the only Ukrainian restaurant in LA. And my wife is from there but we we're a little disappointed that the Borsht was spicy and that there was pepper on the Salo. Other than that everything else we tried has been delicious and authentic. Slava Ukraini!

It was sooo delicious. The meat tasted the way my Polish mom makes it. Great portion of meat and mashed potatoes! Super fresh too. I will be ordering again.

As a Ukrainian- having an authentic Ukrainian restaurant to choose from is wonderful. The food is fresh, consistent, the portion sizes are healthy. Everything tastes (almost) as good as my grandma could make it and I have ordered from here on multiple occasions.
