I have lived in SD since 1989 and heard about Mona Lisa Deli sandwiches, but the idea never enticed me. But today, I decided to try its sandwiches for the first time, with hesitant reservation. Gotta say, these are the best deli sandwiches I have ever tasted in San Diego, hands down. The deluxe #8 is best, and the Caprese, equally good, after adding a little salt. I think I found my favorite deli shop in SD and will order sandwiches only from Mona Lisa Deli from now on.

I ordered the Deluxe Sub.It has dense bread that held up for two days even with the Italian dressing. It had quality, fresh ingredients and was large so I had leftovers.
What could work better is if napkins are included because it was a bit messy. Also, check your order right away. I didn't and the chips I ordered with it were not there. I was not able to get a refund two days later.

Added imported prosciutto and Dijon. Very fresh and authenic. And cute they took my name (Taylor S.) and wrote on my sandwich haha. Made my day. Would order again. Big enough for 2 meals for me.

Honestly, I would've taken a picture if it didn't look so good. I had to dive in. The sandwich had so much flavor and it was big enough for me to share! Definitely going to order Mona Lisa's again. I'm sure everything on their menu is great.
