I rarely write reviews, but the Pork Katsu Curry here is just as good as what I had in Japan. Curry is rich and flavorful with a nice kick and with a perfect consistency.
They even separated the pork and rice/curry to make sure it stayed crispy during delivery. Amazing.

I got the Chicken Katsu Curry and it was good. The chicken could have been more plump and juicy, however overall taste and katsu was on point. I liked how when they delivered it the chicken was separated from the curry and rice.

The flavor is outstanding, slightly sweet slightly spicy, the Chicken Katsu Curry crust was extra crispy but the chicken inside was still juicy. Portions were perfect, I feel filled but not overly full, I will order again

The Cadillac of Japanese curries, Hinoya is the best Japanese curry in San Francisco, hands down. There is simply no competition. The curry roux (both vegetarian and non-veg) is thick, with rich flavors permeating every luscious drop. All of their toppings, from the perfectly fried ebi (shrimp) to the scrumptious croquettes are wonderful compliments to what I consider to be the best Japanese curry I have ever had anywhere. You will never be disappointed with their selection of toppings, sides, and commitment to consistent quality.
