I wanted to like this, but honestly the fried pickles cost more than the gumbo, which should have been a red flag. The fried pickles were way too salty, and well, the gumbo was tasty but SUCH a small portion-- it was almost all rice.

I recently ordered from this establishment and had a mixed experience. The beignets were quite good—exactly what you would expect from a classic beignet, light, fluffy, and satisfying. However, the gumbo was disappointing. It lacked the bold Cajun flavors and spice that make gumbo truly stand out. The dish felt bland and didn't capture the essence of what gumbo should be.
The étouffée, had its own set of issues. For the price, $18:00 the portion size was surprisingly small, and the roux, a crucial component of a great étouffée, was lacking in depth and richness. It just didn’t have that authentic taste you hope for in a Cajun dish.
Given my experience, I’ll likely stick to ordering just the beignets and hurricanes in the future. I’m glad I had the chance to try the food, but I hope that, over time, the dishes become more flavorful and true to their Cajun roots. If I decide to give it another shot in the next six months, I’m hoping to see some improvements.

The Big Easy Gumbo was absolutely delicious and flavorful... it would have been great if it had more meat though. 1 piece of chicken, maybe 2 pieces of sausage and 3 shrimp. More meat next time please! A bowl was very filling.

I ordered from here because I was craving Beignet (4 Pieces) so I even bought 2 servings. It was disgusting. It was airy and the dough tasted weird.
The alligator basket was ok. The fries were good, the Alligator Basket was ok some meat was red and some meat was white so I'm not sure about that.
