I love this restaurant. They never disappoint! The Hot Fried Chicken is absolutely amazing. They fry and season it so well and it is to die for! And the pickles are the best in Edmonton. I order from them at least once a month - I'm so obsessed with their food!

Fried chicken is the best in town! The W.N.F.A is a true statement. I have at least 10 bottles of hot sauce in my fridge, including the former spiciest sauce from the podcast 'Hot-ones'. That chicken was the spiciest thing I've ever had. Their house-made hot sauces are absolutely killer. I'd order them by the gallon if I could. Love the fritters. I've noticed other reviewers claiming them to be too spicy. They are less spicy than Tobasco, or Sriracha sauce. When they're on the menu their baked beans are deadly.

Really over priced and below average. $7 for a piece of dry hard corn bread is ridiculous. Saying the chicken comes with coleslaw and then having it be the smallest size no matter the amount of chicken is crazy. I only didn't order it thinking ordering 10 pieces of chicken it would be a bit bigger. I ended up having to make more food once our food got there because it was clearly not enough. Now the chicken. It was insanely greasy and dry somehow. The bottom of one of the boxes left the chicken in a 1/4" of grease. The size of the chicken pieces was alright.
I had heard so many good things about Northern Chicken and was really looking forward tosupporting local, but we'll never be back.

Corn fritters were inedible - so hot my eyes were watering and lips burning after one little bite. They were kind of underdone also. The fried chicken coating on the chicken tender had slipped off in the box, very unappetizing looking. I think when you put freshly made coated chicken in a box, it continues to steam and the coating releases. Maybe next time we'll go to the restaurant, as that problem is probably only with delivery.

Yeah, the other reviews get the point across. This place rules. Best chicken in the country. Pro tip, order the "hot" chicken even if you don't like spicy foods. It isent spicy at all and the flavour is a million times better.
