• 2/18/24Pristine, fresh sashimi! Okane Umi's owner makes sure every slice of sashimi is at the peak of freshness before it leaves the kitchen.
After being horrified by thin slivers of sticky, smelly sashimi from 7 other local places, from Torrance to San Pedro, we order ONLY from Okane Umi in Lomita for the last 5 years and at least 3 times a week. High quality plus generous portions are rare. Not here! And you get your money's worth. Salmon is my favorite. Love the octopus and yellowtail. Also, try the Galbi lunch or dinner! Yummy, tender, beautifully seasoned beef. Be sure to order the gorgeously fresh wasabi and click yes for 'condiments and utensils'.

• 3/15/26Really solid spot. We ordered takeout and got the steak teriyaki, spicy crab roll, and tuna sashimi. Everything was fresh and tasted great — the steak teriyaki had a lot of flavor, the spicy crab roll had a nice kick, and the tuna sashimi was super fresh. The packaging was also done really well, which made it easy to drive with and nothing moved around. Would definitely order from here again.

• 2/14/26I've recently moved into the area and I have eaten here twice . 10 out of 10 on everything I ordered . That may be the best Calamari Tempura I've ever eaten . The warm spring roll is now my go too and the miso soup is perfection . I highly recommend this spot to everyone I know . Great place for a date night or even for take out and enjoy alone at home .

• 10/6/25Perfection! Year after year after year, for 15 years, I have orders delivery from Okane Umi at least 3 or 4 times a month. Sashimi and rice, grilled vegetables. Sometimes their fantastic kalbi beef or sushi rolls. So much to chose from!
Without fail, this restaurant prepares and sends us fresh, perfect, gorgeous meals.
How often does one find perfection? I don't know what I'd do without them.
