Some of the best food I've had in Des Moines! I eat here at least once a week if not more because it's so delicious! If you like some heat I recommend the Shawarma Rice Plate and make it spicy! And if you ever get the chance to dine with them in the east village the atmosphere is so nice just like the servers there!

We had two felafel platters, an order of chx schwarma, an order of gyro meat, baba ghanoush, spicy hummus, dolmas. All of it was fresh and almost preternaturally delicious, down to the rice and vinaigrette. I've eaten Mediterranean and middle eastern foods since childhood and this was on par with meals eaten in Boston, Chicago, London, D.C., Dublin, Houston. What a gem!

Open Sesame is AMAZING! Literally everything is delicious and fresh. The Gyro Salad is fire, and the Spicy Hummus was perfect. Not too much heat for this farm girl and perfectly seasoned. I have a ton of leftover hummus and wish I had also ordered extra pita! I'm certainly not letting it go to waste!

The food tasted very good. A bit dry. Next time I'll order extra tabouli. Gave a 3 star due to portions. For the price, I was expecting a bit more. Not much meat in the entree. And I ordered a sprite, expecting a bottle or at least a can for $3. I got a 10 ounce styrofoam cup. C'mon.

the portions are so erratic, but I was very surprised to receive about 1 tbsp of baba ganoush and 2 tbsp of hummus. a garnish of salad? Sadly the worst value I've received so far from this restaurant, but they do have the best Mediterranean cuisine in town.
