Original Grinds is a vegan bakery and coffee and tea café. We offer specialty drinks, and host a variety of weekly music and poetry events at our downtown Fredericksburg location.
The Cherry Cordial is chef's kiss. Adding to my list of favorites. The Apple Cinnamon Protein Oats is a good serving size, great flavor, able to save some for a snack later. I added caramel sauce to mine which was a nice addition to the crisp diced apple on top. Yum!

The cheesy garlic roll is to die for. Don't even think about it, just buy it! Super flavorful, fluffy, and fresh. Was still warm when it got to me! The iced snickerdoodle latte is rich and delicious. And the Apple Cinnamon Oats were so good and filling! I got it as is it doesn't need any extra sauce. Original Grinds over the corporate sell outs any day!! Support your local small business and order from Original Grinds!

The Cheesy Garlic Rolls are large and delicious. I ordered mine cold so I could heat it up at home, but even doing that it was fresh soft and aromatic. The Pistachio Cookie Matcha was smooth and creamy and just the right amount of sweet. Will definitely be ordering both of them again :)
The flavors in everything from OGs are always vibrant and delightful. One of the best spots in Fredericksburg.

I had the vegan Chai Cinnamon Roll and vegan Tater Tot Scramble Wrap! As a vegan in this area it's almost impossible to find a cafe with breakfast options, so I really appreciate OG. The wrap didn't come warmed, but cold, as if it was pre-made. I wasn't expecting cold tater tots and cheese that wasn't melted inside, but it was pretty easy to unravel and reheat the wrap without destroying it. I really loved how the cinnamon roll was packaged separately from the icing. The icing was thick and didn't really melt too well even after eating the roll and after putting the entire thing in the microwave. The Chai and cinnamon spice was also a bit too overpowering, as the spices are in both the icing and every layer of the roll itself. A lighter touch there would make it all really come together. The meal was filling and fairly priced. Support this business--- it's definitely worth it!

I've said it before but I gave it another shot. Their coffee is amazing but their blueberry muffin is trash. It's never looked like the pic and the last one I tried( because I love bb muffins) had 2-3blueberries throughout the entire muffin and was way overcooked that it was too dry to swallow without a sip of coffee. They need to either improve their muffin or give it up cause it makes them look incompetent. I'd say I'll take pics next time but I'll never order it again so there's no point. But their coffee is why I keep coming back A+
