New menu item! I loved the Firecracker Shrimp from Liberty Station. But, now I am a HUGE CONVERTED FAN to Pei Wei's NEW Firecracker Shrimp (it's listed as "chicken", but for $1 I substituted shrimp, AND selected fried rice. YUMMMMMMY!

Both entrees ordered with extra protein were skimpy. I'm happy to pay an up charge when I get what I'm paying for but the entire order of GF Mongolian beef (with extra protein) with sauce, mushrooms & scallions totaled about a 1 cup -- smaller than a regular sized order. Packaged in a container meant for crab puffs, it leaked all over everything else. After reading a glowing review I ordered Firecracker chicken but subbed shrimp & extra protein. It had no spice whatsoever and also was a very skimpy portion with just 8 quarter sized shrimp & over 3/4 of the container filled with rice. Not doing Pei Wei again.

The cauliflower fried rice was so badly burned the entire container smelled like burned food. There were only 2 bites of broccoli in the broccoli and tofu part of the dish. Because the dasher got lost and took a long time to find the house, the crispy tofu was more like mush-covered tofu. The cashew chicken dish was good and the veggie spring rolls were good as well, but the 3rd dish was inedible.

We ordered the new firecracker chicken. It had zero flavor and zero heat which was very disappointing. Same with the Kung Pao Chicken. The dumplings were very good.

Food was tasty and hot, but contained very little protein. Both of our dishes were mostly rice.
