The chai and matcha were both excellent. The matcha is the best I’ve found in Greenport, with a smooth flavor and vibrant color. The chai is incredible too, with the perfect level of spice and balance.

Pip’s Cafe and Provisions is just one of those spots you end up craving all the time. The BEC sandwiches are hands down the best on the North Fork, with soft eggs, crisp bacon, and warm bread that makes the whole thing feel perfect. The pastries are unreal. The croissants are perfectly flaky and buttery and honestly could rival anything made in Paris. 10/10

The Squash Banh Mi is outstanding — crispy, flavorful, and balanced with just the right acidity. It’s the kind of sandwich that makes you forget it’s vegetarian. The Fried Chicken Sandwich is equally strong: juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly crisp without being greasy. Easily one of the best sandwiches in Greenport.
The Tomato Bean Soup is simple in the best way — deeply comforting, rich, and clearly made from scratch. Perfect on a cooler North Fork day. And the quiche is everything you want it to be: flaky crust, custardy interior, and packed with flavor.
Pip’s feels very true to the North Fork — seasonal ingredients, unfussy food done well, and a relaxed local vibe. Whether you’re visiting Greenport for the weekend or live out here year-round, this is a place worth returning to again and again.

Pip’s Cafe and Provisions is one of my go-to spots in Greenport, NY for a consistently great lunch. The Hearty Grain Bowl is fresh, filling, and really well balanced — hearty without feeling heavy. The Cubano sandwich is excellent, with bold flavor and perfectly toasted bread. I also loved the tomato bean soup, which was comforting, flavorful, and clearly house-made.
Everything feels thoughtfully prepared with high-quality ingredients. If you’re looking for an easy, reliable favorite for takeout in Greenport, this place is a must. Highly recommend.
