This is my go-to Poke chain in the South Bay! So happy they're up in San Mateo! Got the small bowl and even that is a ton of food. The Scottish salmon's quality is a noticeable improvement over the other chains! It's even better than some sashimi at restaurants! This place truly uses top notch quality ingredients. Taste is amazing! My favorite sauce mix is custom ponzu+sesame oil+unagi. 5 stars without a doubt!

i asked for utensils 3 different times per order and only got 1 set. the miso soup costs almost 5 dollars and it's soooooo small. i pay 3$ for it at hi city and i get way more. the hand rolls were good except it felt like there was too much rice and the rice was very starchy like they didn't wash it before making it. the poke bowl was good tho.

We started with Miso Soup which was gross. So bland, but almost sweet. Not miso-y. I chose spicy salmon for my bowl & the quality was TERRIBLE. Fishy & stringy. I had to dump it out because I was scared I'd get sick. My daughter ordered tofu like she always does, but this time it was crumbly & weird. I'm not sure if it was just an off day or if their quality has dropped.

Ordered this as a last minute dinner but I felt uncomfortable eating a majority of it. The darker pieces were crunchy as if they were frozen but they weren't. Very sad because the flavor and sauce was good, but there wasn't much rice, greens and concerning about quality of the tuna in the order. I don't think I will order here again sadly

The worst of the 3 Poke House stores I go to is the one in San Mateo. the portion is small, the bowl is not full like in other places, and the cut of their salmon is terrible, it comes with dark and hard parts, they should clean it better. after 4 or 5 chances at this store, I gave up, now I shop at the Palo Alto or Santa Clara unit
