It feels bad having to give such a low rating to what I once considered my all time favorite chicken Grilled Chicken Sandwich from my all time favorite Cafe, race St.
The chicken was (and has more often been lately) dry and chewy. The toppings were a mess and the bread was flat.
The fries portion has been cut in half, at least, since I started ordering this. And the fries themselves have dropped in quality. They used to be crispy and lightly seasoned. They were neither.
I will continue going here because the front of house staff are incredible and overall the meals are good. But there has been a notable drop in quality over the past few years for sure.

First 4 star for this place ever. My favorite place.
They used to give a generous amount of fries, and those fries used to be slightly seasoned. Neither of those are true anymore.
Also the meatloaf sandwich used to be made with love. Less so now.
I think they are just overwhelmed and understaffed.

The Race Street Burger is one of the best burgers you can find in the city. The fries are amazing as well.
