We started going to Red 8 out of convenience and limited choices about eight years ago, and we continued to go because the service was always fast and accommodating, and the food was pretty good. Over the years, we have noticed improvement in customer service, food texture and flavor, and even take-out containers. Last night, our dinner was the best ever! The Sesame Chicken was extra tender with no dry edges; Cheese Wontons seemed to be a bit more plump than usual & were still warm when they were delivered; & best of all, the Ham Fried Rice was hot, steamy, and had more flavor than usual-- as if they upgraded a couple of the ingredients. Whatever they did, it was awesome!

I ordered Pad Thai and paid $3 extra to have shrimp instead of chicken. First, the Pad Thai was in fact as white as shown in the picture from Yelp--extreeeemely lightly sauced. Fortunately I had some Pad Thai sauce, so added that to have some flavor. Second, there were a total of THREE shrimp, and they were placed under the hot noodles, so they were well and truly overcooked although Red 8 is max 5 minutes from my house. Extremely disappointing. If I had just gotten chicken I'm sure there would have been far more, for less money.

Chicken donburi was a very small portion, especially for the price. Octopus and red clam nigiri were far from fresh. They were dry and rubbery, like chewing old gum. Very expensive for low quality food.

the portions are incredibly small for $8 which is a shame because it was actually really good sushi. unfortunately, the Niku Udon was not it. the meat from the niku udon had a weird texture and was incredibly gummy soft, and it had a bunch of shredded vegetables that didn't add anything. there's lots of other places you could go where the quality and quantity are better

Ordered two orders of soup and it barely filled a single bowl. Was only watery broth and three wontons. Not worth it!
