I'd heard of this restaurant and as a true East Baydestrian, I know good BBQ.
This is definitely where I will go for my fix, out in the South Bay/Peninsula area. Top Tier!
I appreciate the sides, being original and a different style than the typical southern style competitors. It's great to see a different approach. Much appreciated, in the authenticity.

I was really looking forward to trying this place. But for $18 + tax + tip, I received 3 slices of tri tip slapped between 2 pieces of bread. The meat was fatty and chewy, and less than half the amount I'd expect for that price point.

The brisket sandwich is freaking amazing! Some of the best I've ever had! This place is legit fire, and I could eat here every day. However, I am inclined to agree with the others that the portion sizes are too small for what you pay, especially with the coleslaw. $4.25 for maybe 2.5-3oz? Common. Thats why it gets 4 stars instead of 5. But, with that said, the food is incredible and I highly recommend eating here.

Ribs and sausage taste great. Brisket is ok. Potato salad has a kick to it. The Coleslaw and beans have little flavor, in fact the beans were soupy with bits of meat and a few beans. Not sure I'd order again unless getting the ribs and jalapeños cheese sausages. Portion size is ok, had I not ordered the ribs probably not so much.

The quality of meat reminded me allot of this little place on California Avenue called the Little Mermaid. They made a rare roasted beef sandwich that blew my mind. After they eventually closed up shop I've spent the last 20 years trying to find somewhere that roasted their beef this rare and this delicious. I've FINALLY found it. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Usually I would cut something like that in half and make two meals out of. I couldn't help myself, I ate that and the coleslaw all in one sitting. I'm a fan. Please keep doing it like this, it's worthy of the 5 stars I gave you guys.
