The chicken and waffles was to die for, the mac&cheese was flavorful and creamy, and the corn bread was delicious (coming from someone who doesn't usually like corn bread). Absolutely everything was perfection!

For 15.00 dollars I got unusually small pieces of chicken Tenders 4 to be exact. I have never gottten them so small and encrusted with excess batter revealing a much smaller piece of chicken. The Bourbon Carrots were delicious done right on that one.

the collards were not seasoned. the Mac and cheese was bland. we ordered a Whole Bird chicken but they shorted us on dark meat. and the chicken did not taste seasoned. the Cornbread was fine. I have had good food there before and will probably go there again, I just won't order these items. should be noted that I am a southerner so my standards for this type of food are higher. literally anyone's granny back home can far surpass this same meal.

Their Vegetarian Ruben is Phenomenal. My partner & I are pescataraian & were blown away by this sandwich! I would have thoroughly enjoyed this back in my meat eating days. So don't pass it up just because it says vegetarian. It's a must have along with their Fried Green Tomatoes which are breaded & seasoned perfectly, their Mashed potatoes & gravy made with real potatoes are a home run. Their macaroni is made with cavatappi noodles & Is in a creamy cheese sauce with fresh melted cheese on top baked to a crisp perfection. You can't not try their banana pie. It's made perfectly, not too sweet on the whip topping which really allows the banana custard to shine. Honestly the best Banana pie my partner & I have ever had. This restaurant is giving you it's soul, And you taste it in every bite! Thankful to have a real soul food restaurant finally!

Incredibly overpriced and the chicken was soaking in grease. The Mashed Potatoes & Gravy were the best part but $8 for an 8 oz container of potatoes is beyond ridiculous. Will not be going back to again.
