Rodney Scott’s Whole Hog BBQ in Charleston, SC in 2017 was born out of a friendship between Rodney Scott and Nick Pihakis and their mutual respect for the time and technique required to make great bar…
The ribs.... just get them. They are huge, juicy and tender. Seasoned perfectly. The salad looked glorious. And tasted good as well. Both plates were so big we ate off them for 2 days.

Pork ribs had a good flavor and portion. Mac and cheese portion was very small, about 5 bites all together for over $4. Didn't taste cheesy, was a little dry. Baked beans were a little to heavy on the bell pepper for me

2 meat combo doesn't include ribs as a standard option. You have to pay extra making the plate nearly $30. The Mac and cheese portion is barely a serving spoonful. That was highway robbery. Ribs had a good flavor and I enjoyed the sauces. Baked beans were ok and a decent serving. Banana pudding, good flavor but almost no banana or cookies.

BBQ and sauce was amazing and some of the best I've had since I moved to Birmingham. I will definitely be back.

This was my first time ordering from here. I did not like the barbecue sauce it was beyond watery.
Macaroni & cheese wasn't good either. The collard greens were awesome. Not sure I would eat here again.
