Had The Original, was originally craving chicken soup but options were limited so tried this. It's delicious, packed full of fantastic floral tasty flavors. The rice was cooked perfectly, the chicken super moist. Even the side sauces are so good, added the habanero and for someone that enjoys very spicy heat, this was actually really spicy. It's a pretty large portion, got a side of veggies which are steamed (cauliflower, broccoli, carrot) and already full while still having a half portion to save for later. Give this place a shot, you won't regret it.

Cutlet was the perfect crispiness and the chicken is so flavorful! The Khao Tom Gai was a perfect addition to my meal. It was a unique flavor that really complimented the overall meal.

The Original came with barely any skin on the chicken. As if they took it to supplement orders that paid for extra skin. It's the best part! The Khao Tom Gao was too salty and the scallion ginger sauce I paid extra for had no salt. Pretty disappointing compared to my other experiences with R&R

I alway get the Orginal....chicken is never dry...the rice on the other hand.... some days its perfect and some days it alittle under. This place delivers to my work place super quick... what more can I ask for.

I am very disappointed by the order I got today. I ordered the original with all thighs and ginger sauce. The sauce is sour and the chicken is so dry that I suspect it is from yesterday.
I had a great experience with Rooster and Rice when I lived in San Jose and thought the chain delivers consistent quality food. I checked with my friends who often order from R&R and noted that apparently every store could be different.
I may try other R&R but not this one in Redwood City any more.
