I tried the Brownie - Smore for the first time and it was delicious and fresh, just as expected! They were out of the Chocolate Cinnamon Roll but left a nice note to apologize, and refunded me. There was even an extra muffin in the box. Honestly, their brownies are so good that I'd keep coming back even if they hadn't gone above and beyond. Roste is an absolute gem!

I love that the flavors are a little more complex as opposed to a blinding sugar-first experience turned up to 11. The Scone - Orange & Chocolate is very nice, delicate flavors and tender texture with amazing crumbly chocolate chunks and just the right amount of fresh icing. The Chocolate Ginger Cookie is soft. The brownies steal the show for me; not your highly-processed, gummy box-brownies but a perfect dense and sophisticated dark-chocolate flavor and dense texture that is somehow both moist and crumbly in the right ways. It's dessert, but it feels like real food. Oh! The No-bake peanut/oat cookie (GF) (which I forgot to take a photo of) elicited an audible exclamation of joy that I rarely hear from the person I gave it to.
I am wishing Roste all the success -- what a gem.

Their hot cocoa is a long time favorite of mine. Simply the best hot cocoa. The flavor is rich, the texture is smooth and creamy. The Cacao Husk Tea Retail is a great way to satisfy your chocolate lust when you dont want too rich of a flavor. Subtle but distinct cacao flavor but gentle on the pallet and lite on the calories.

The brownie - my favorite - VERY dense, a little crumbly, has a sophisticated chocolate flavor, refreshingly not overly sweet. I will be ordering this again!
The espresso cake is rich, tender, and moist, in loaf shape, topped with a single layer of espresso frosting and dotted with three espresso beans. Because it's baked in a small individual loaf shape, the exterior has that "corner" texture that comes from being baked up against the sides of a pan, but perhaps that helps to keep the moisture in.
The tiramisu is yummy, subtle, with a lovely dense texture to the cream, and fresh ladyfingers that haven't lost their texture to age or over-soaking in espresso. The cocoa powder topping seemed slightly sweet. No alcohol, and I'm not sure I detected any mascarpone in the cream (maybe it's there and I missed it) but it was very nice for a fresh tiramisu fix.

The Tunisian Orange cake is marvelous, Roste is so much more than a Chocolate shop, though they are the best at that as well even better than the Moonstruck cafe used to be.
