This is the ultimate in comfort food.
The Bacon Cheeseburger is perfect. I love that the bacon is crispy enough but not overdone, so the softness matches the burger. I asked for cheddar cheese and I can taste the sharpness. Topped by the right amount of condiment. This has to be everyone's favorite burger joint if they make all burgers like they made mine. The fries are a great compliment for an all-American meal.
I chose to add a side of Mac N Cheese today & it's so tasty! I'm glad I added it.

I always enjoy the Bac Cheeseburger with fries here, and this one was good as well, glad to have it again.
This was the first time I ordered the Garlic Parm Chicken. I thought it was supposed to come with provolone, but it's good with cheddar. I actually started eating it with a fork, because the chicken chunks were so plentiful it was easier to eat that way.
I don't know if asking for the strawberry syrup meant I didn't get powdered sugar on my Funnel Cake Fries or what, but luckily I do have powdered sugar at home. Otherwise they're good.

Despite being back home for over 20 years, I think this is the first time I've ordered from Route 40 Diner, but it won't be the last.
I was hungry for pot roast and mashed potatoes. Believe it or not, not everyone gets pot roast right, but theirs was very good - had just a nice amount of fat. I ordered my gravy on the side because I like to butter my mashed potatoes first, and they gave me a generous cup of it.
But while I was scrolling thru the menu, the Thursday Special of Cabbage Rolls (Halupki) caught my attention. I figured I could have that for lunch Friday, and I did. I used some of that gravy on my mashed potatoes with that meal. The Halupki was just like Mommy used to make - only I spent no time wrapping & tucking little meat & rice balls in boiled cabbage to earn this meal.
It's nice to get a home-cooked meal delivered when I'm not feeling well. The food was good & filling, and tasted like I could have made it myself. I appreciate the focus on local cuisine.

I was very hungry this afternoon and wanted to order something for both then and for dinner.
The National Pike Breakfast is a lot of food for me! I got it with scrambled eggs, an English muffin, and a sausage patty, plus hash browns, in addition to the huge buttermilk pancakes. I still have some leftover for tomorrow morning's breakfast! It was made exactly as I ordered and was excellent.
I also ordered a Personal Pan Pizza with pepperoni and Breaded Mush room for my dinner, and those were equally good. I'm glad I have a little bit leftover for lunch tomorrow, as well.
Route 40 Diner never disappoints me!

Food arrived packaged well with tamper proof tape. Burger and fries were piping hot and delicious. The pizza was cooked well and also hot. Had a strange BBQ like taste though, which was odd for a pepperoni and cheese pizza. Probably wouldn't order it again.
