We ordered the roasted half chicken and 8 different sides. Corn bread, blk eyed peas, Holy Trinity, mashed potatoes, hoppin john, green beans, dirty rice, yams, and sautéed apples. Lord, what a feast. Without exception, the food was perfectly cooked. Then we enjoyed banana pudding (OMG!) and peach cobbler. We'll be back for sure.

The taste, portion sizes, and freshness of everything are excellent. I would definitely purchase from this restaurant again. The Smothered Pork Chops, Turkey Wings and Mac & Cheese were all absolutely delicious! If you want some delicious soul food, I highly recommend Ruby's Southern Kitchen.

Chicken wings were fried and seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend. Cabbage was delicious ! Mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful. Only issue was the potato salad has a tad much mustard/egg but overall really enjoyed my meal. 10/10

We ordered a number of sides with our main dish just to try Ruby's. DELICIOUS without exception. Excellent fried shrimp, yams, green beans, red potatoes, hoppin' john, apples, and more. The cornbread was OMG. Definitely on our saved list.

I was expecting more flavor and seasoning from the Blackened Salmon but was disappointed big time.. The fried cabbage was also bland. Because I spent so much I ate it all. I've had great food like the fried chicken, catfish and shrimp and grits so I'm not giving up. This time was a big let down though.
