Rudy’s is my go-to spot for takeout before flying out of Austin. The BBQ is consistently good, affordable, and the customer service is top-notch. Plus, their BBQ sauce is a standout—I’m a huge fan!

Rudy’s BBQ delivered exactly what you want from a classic Texas stop—the moist brisket was rich and tender, the turkey surprisingly juicy, and the baby back ribs fell right off the bone. The creamy cole slaw balanced everything perfectly, making the whole meal feel comforting, satisfying, and unapologetically Texan.

The turkey was moist and delicious as always. Brisket was great, just not a fan of paying extra for moist, but worth it. Chopped is always the first to go in our house. New potatoes are average. I got them without butter because it's too much with it. We love sausage but man it was so basic and not worth it. Would have rather spent money on more turkey. Lastly the creamed corn was a massive let down. We threw it away either because the recipe is different from last time we ordered or it went bad or something.

Baked potato was really good and the potato salad was flavorful. Pork ribs were a favorite, wished the chicken had more flavor on the inside but it was cooked very well with a smoky taste on the outside. The moist brisket was a little underwhelming since we wished it had more flavor. I love that they give you fresh sliced bread, pickles and onions on the side. The Rudy original sauce was delicious.

If I'm going to pay nearly $10 for a quarter of moist brisket, I would expect not to get an end piece of pure fat that took up most of the weight. Extremely disappointed receiving inedible pieces of the most expensive meat on the menu.
