Everything we got was awesome! It is so great to fi-na-ly be able to get these kinds of foods. The Green Borscht is especially delicious, in my view, because it's just a little bit sour -- kinda like a sauerkraut borsch(t) I had once, ordered by mail from far away -- and now I can just get it from nearby, hot and fresh, and not have to make it myself .... It was really fun to get two different borschts at once and have one after the other, plus of course having some left over for later.
The Mushroom Holubtsi was incredible! I love that it's not sweet like some other stuffed cabbage dishes around -- in fact, until I got this, I could not even put into words what was wrong with that other stuffed cabbage I was eating. This is so much better! (For my taste -- it's all a matter of taste! But ... also health. This one is much healthier!)
The RUTA Salad salad is really great! It's super-fresh with a great combination of flavours. I really enjoyed every single piece and aspect of this -- and it's a large, generous portion perfect for sharing. The pumpkin seeds in here are a real standout, being so different than the dried, bagged pumpkin seeds I'd been eating of late. They really raised my standards regarding pumpkin seeds! These ones are so fresh and plump, they just pop in your mouth!
The roll and bread that came with the dishes were incredible, too. The roll is really super-flavourful -- totally not what I'm used to, but oh so much much better, with some little bit of drizzled green herby oil dressing atop it.
All in all, a perfect meal!

8 Varenyky was slimy and cold. I would not order it again. They were about the size of a half dollar and cost $22 dollars! The Pampushka was extremely hard and un editable as well.

Ruta is arguably the best restaurant in Bethesda.  Ruta takes care with each dish. I highly recommend this restaurant. If you are sick and tired of being treated like a sucker try Ruta and you will be treated like family. Needless to say these chefs are competent. Highly highly recommend.

So delicious! The varenyky are amazing. I got the potato varenyky and they were delicious pillows of yumminess! My order came with lots of sour cream on the side as well, which is how I like it.
