The grilled chicken and rice place was perfect. Great portion, healthy, and super fresh! I love this place!

Honestly, I didn't mean to order from this location and I kind of regret that I did. The soup broth was bland and lacked flavor, which I should have guessed from the smell alone. The meat was cut into large squares which just got chewy and hard to tear with my teeth when I put it in the broth. No sriacha or hoisin sauce was included either. The veggies were fresh and yummy,  but this was definitely the weakest pho that I've had in the city. Spring Rollin on 21st street makes this much better

Saigon Cafe is no longer authentic with the new owners. The food is complete different and not as good.  The spring rolls were rolled so loosely they fell apart first bite. Pho and Bun were disappointing.  Fish sauce should not have chili sauce in it.  Too spicy.

A former favorite seemingly undeterred in its quest for blandness.  Years ago this was a favorite spot but each time I have gone back things have been a bit more bland, a bit more disappointing. The Pad Thai tasted like nothing. The Fried Rice / Com Chien tasted like nothing. The Vietnamese Egg Rolls were still great--the last reminder of what this place used to be. I should really go two stars but nostalgia seems to be getting the better of me. 

And dont bother with special instructions like "no peas please."  They will be ignored.
