First time ordering via Sake Bon — great experience from start to finish. The food was delicious, made with high-quality meats, and the portions were perfect. We loved the combo rice, salad, and onion soup. Highly recommend, and our dasher was quick and efficient!

This is the same food we get in the buffet. In a buffet setting, that's fine, but you state that ordering non-buffet gets you larger proportions. My interpretation is that you would serve to go orders with more of what one would expect when ordering Japanese food from a restaurant. The Steak Hibachi (6Oz) was limited to the buffet proportion though we paid more for it, and there were no veggies, rice, or soup with it like a Japanese restaurant; so I paid more for the item that would have been at a much lower unit price. Same with the Beef Bulgogi: same portion size as the buffet, no rice option, no included soup. We like the buffet and feel the food is of a good quality and high value. We come to expect the buffet portion size with the buffet. However, when ordering to go, we have restaurant expectations; we are not expecting to only get what one orders at the buffet.

The beef bulgogi was tasteless with beef that actually tasted like reheated meat. The rice tasted old also. The cream cheese in the crab puff had a funky taste. On the whole it was disgusting.
I won't be ordering again.

When Sake Bon first opened, the food was delicious and flavorful. The quality was superb. This order, however, was the exact opposite. The food was bland and poor quality.
