• 7/1/22Food was great! Red beans and rice was seasoned to perfection. Seafood was fresh and quite scrumptious. My son had the philly cheesesteak and he said it's the best he's ever had! We were in the mood for home cooked food & Sam's definitely came through.

• 3/31/26Sam's on barksdale is legit. The food is always hot and fresh with good portions. I've tried another location recently and it was terrible. Literally the red beans and rice was field peas over rice and so bland it was inedible. I only order from Barkdale.

• 5/24/26The food was hot, even after the food left at the wrong door. The fish was well seasoned and the portions were enough for my husband and me to share with another adult. I would definitely recommend Sam's Southern Eatery to good home cooking enthusiasts who are disabled and retired like us.
