I recently ordered takeout from Samurai Japanese Restaurant in Hartland, and I was very impressed. I ordered the lunch hibachi chicken with shrimp, and everything was fresh, hot, and packaged well for takeout. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the rice and vegetables were delicious.
I was also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary clear soup with my order, which was a thoughtful touch and tasted great.
The portion size was generous, especially for a lunch special, and the quality of the food made it an excellent value. My order was prepared quickly, and the entire takeout experience was smooth and convenient.
I highly recommend Samurai Japanese Restaurant if you’re looking for delicious Japanese takeout in Hartland. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again to give honest rating on other dishes.

For the price the food was alright. The sushi was amazing! Big rolls, whole pieces of crab and big chunks of avocado. Got the shrimp lunch special with noodles. The noddles could have used a little more flavor, the shrimp was AMAZING. Portion size was where I won't complain, you get A LOT for it being a lunch portion. I'd order here again. The flavor wasn't something a little yum yum sauce from the fridge couldn't fix. Their yum yum sauce and spicy mayo was not good in my opinion. The miso soup was also amazing, didn't have any tofu in mine but it was still great. The food came hot!

When we went to go pick up, we saw our food in the kitchen window and waited ten minutes until we walked back to the kitchen to see if anyone was working. Crab ragoons were not the best I've had and kinda tasted stale or were cold for awhile. The meat on the Hibachi Filet & Chicken was really good, noddles were also good. They should really offer at least one sauce with the food like you would at a normal hibachi restaurant. Had to add on 2oz yumyum sauce for $1. Portions were good, maybe we will order again once they get more established. 3.5/5 due to service and food was a bit cold

We tried this place on a whim but the hibachi was overcooked for what we wanted, under seasoned, and just overall not good tasting.

Taste is average, but size for everything is small. This picture gives an idea of the size.
