As someone from Old City, Hyderabad who grew up eating real Hyderabadi biryani at places like Cafe Bahar, Pista House, and Shah Ghouse, I’ve got to say this spot comes pretty close to the authentic taste.
I ordered the Hyderabadi Mutton Dum Biryani and asked for it “spicy, double masala” like a true Hyderabadi, and it definitely delivered. The Zafrani Chicken 65 was decent, but nothing you can’t find elsewhere in Austin.
Only downside is the portion size. The Chicken 65 felt way too small for the price, and the raita + mirchi ka salan servings were basically Costco sample cups.
That said, I’d still order the biryani again. Just wish the portions matched the prices, because my appetite didn’t order a sample platter.

Kebabs and appetizers were super freshl and juicy. Best I’ve had in North Austin by far. Best Mutton biryani.

Rumali roti is not well cooked and Dalcha Mutton is really very bad and looks like they added mutton pieces in some green sauce sent to us. Not a value for money. Instead having fast food restaurants would be a lot better.

The appetizers tasted really good, though the quantity felt a bit less for the price. The biryanis were decent.

Worst and smelly haleem. Chicken starter missing in the mutton platter. Bad taste. Deserts taste sour.
