Always happy with Shaka! We got Da Kine Bird and the Ono Pork Shanks. Very pleased with the amount of meat and overall portions. Ingredients taste very fresh and the meats are amazing. Always consistent!

1st time using this restaurant. Compared to the two other Hawaiian-based food restaurants in the area (Hawaiian Bros & Mo' Bettah's), the food taste is comparable , maybe even slightly under the other two HOWEVER the value for what you get is quite different. I wish I could show a side-by-side picture of what we received for this place versus Mo' Bettah's Hawaiian Style restaurant for essentially the same meal just days apart. It's like double the food for the same price in favor of Mo' Bettah's. Double everything: the meat, rice, and Mac salad. It'll probably be our last time ordered from here. I will say the menu options are slightly different and in favor of this Restaurant for a little more variety, but not enough to make a difference for what we order (Chicken).

Absolutely amazing!! Their food is sooooo tasty. Highly highly highly recommend. We got the "Ono" Pork Shanks, "Da Kine Bird" Hawaiian BBQ Chicken, and an extra side of the Hawaiian Mac Salad and its all sooooo good. I wish I could give it more stars. Food was warm when it arrived, excellently packaged, and came with everything we needed!

I'm not usually one to write lengthy reviews because frankly, I'm easily pleased and can eat the same thing over and over and be just tickled pink. But, seeing as I'm on this new Hawaiian food kick, I am going to leave a (hopefully) helpful review for any others enjoying the island fare lately...First off, I have not gotten to try Hawaiian Bros (darn delivery range!) but love me some Mo'Bettahs and this is my first time trying Shaka. First off, the portions are definitely smaller (about 1/3 of Mo) however, a lot more thought and effort went into this plate, I got the "Da Kine Bird" Hawaiian BBQ Chicken. Loved the addition of the avocado and pineapple, but the real stunner is the chutney. Whooeee that's good. The chicken is better in my opinion as well. However, the plate is really lacking in moisture and sister definitely needed a sauce...or 3. The max salad is totally different than MoB, more onion flavor but I liked it (and I detest onions). Not a fan of the Single Pork Shank, nope nope nope. Especially since the pork is the bestest at the other. Soo it's pretty even handed..:but I gotta say I have to lean towards MoB's...glad I tried this version but I probably won't order again....

The Island Boy was more than meat and rice the savory sauce took it to the next level 😁. The onions and mushrooms grilled perfectly and the mac salad, better than all the others.
