• 10/7/24the Shrimp Vindaloo and beef Beef Vindaloo were extremely flavorful and the restaurant really did not play around with our request for extra extra spice. it paired really well with the Garlic Naan and Pakoras

• 5/24/25The flavors are 10/10 but the Vegetable Samosa appears to have been fried in old oil. I ordered the Shrimp Curry which was delicious but for the price the portion was too small. The Garlic Naan was ok I would skip it next time. Overall great food but portions are small.

• 4/30/25The food was overall very good, especially the lamb which was cooked to perfection, and the sauce had a great consistency; not watery at all. However, the masala didn’t quite hit the spot. It tasted more like a korma sauce than a traditional masala, almost as if the two were mixed together. This isn’t the first time I’ve noticed this, which makes me wonder if it happens when the masala runs low. That being said, I can’t really complain about the food overall.. it’s consistently flavorful and satisfying.

• 1/5/24Food was OK but feel ripped off by the prices and portion size on some items. We had ordered Aloo Paratha from Shalimar (Latham) several weeks ago and it was great and large portion for <$5. Decided to try Shalimar (Troy) and found the same item was $8 and the portion size was less than half the size! And order of Aloo Paratha, Chicken Biryani, naan, and Paneer Makhani(small portion as well) came to $55 after fees, tax, and tip. That is way too much for a small lunch for 2.

• 12/19/24I would recommend this to everyone. This is the first time I have eaten here snd probably my second time enjoying indian good and it is amazing. The Chicken Vindaloo was incredibly flavorful and the Garlic Naan was to die for. The the rice comes with it btw but i got an extra container and i'm so glad i did because it is just delightful
