Shanghi's 54 C. LEMON CHICKEN was simply exceptional today! The fried rice was so yummy and fresh. Lots of vegetables that I love and it was moist. The chicken was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend Shanghi Chinese Restaurant for good Chinese dining.

The restaurant is under new ownership, and the quality has suffered. I ordered 66 C MONGOLIAN CHICKEN. I could actually taste the oil in the fried rice. The veggies in the dish were mushy like they'd been cooking for hours. This place has always been known for quality. If it doesn't step up, it won't be open long, which is sad.

13. Hot and Sour Soup was some of the best I've ever had. I ordered 2 which filled a regular size bowl. Wish I ordered more! 39. General Chicken (Dark Meat)was great! Big pieces of chicken, not too much breading, and a great sauce. 55. Szechuan Chicken was really good with lots of chicken. 1A. Rangoon (4) and egg 1. Egg Roll (2) were good too. Will definitely be ordering from here again!

This was my second time ordering from Shanghai in over a year and what I remember as being flavorful and tender was completely different. The fried rice was undercooked and still had bits of hard rice. The chicken was extremely weird (I firmly believe it was chicken meatballs) and I have no idea what it is/was as it was very dry (despite being soaked in some kind of sauce) and the chicken tasted burnt. I asked for the chicken to be medium in spice but I'm sure they just poured hot oil over it without cooking it. The egg drop soup was good but it contained mushrooms which isn't a problem as I like mushrooms but it wasn't advertised as such. I did order three rangoons and those were left out. I will not be returning for future orders.

The meat in the orange chicken and sesame beef were ground meatballs. Very dry and a weird consistency. The fried rice had no flavor. Almost $40 for two meals that were inedible. Oddest Chinese food I have ever had.
