I love spicy dishes, but normally restaurants lower the level of spiciness to appeal to the greater public. So happy to find that, at Sherpa House, the spiciest option is actually spicy!
* "Hot" is the spiciest level and I loved it, but I recommend most people order mild or medium

I ordered the Sherpa's Special Thukpa when I was sick and it's the best thing I've eaten in a long time. The restaurant was kind enough to include the vegan kheer with the soup and it was like a refreshing kiss after a long hug. I highly recommend ordering both together!

Might be the best momos in SF. I tried the lamb, veg, chicken, and pork momos and they're all absolutely delicious. I only wish u could buy more of the dipping sauce. The saag paneer and paneer tikka masala are also good, but even medium spicy might be a little much for me. The rice is nothing exciting and gets the job done. The garlic cheese naan is really tasty, but didn't have as much cheese as I thought it would. Overall excellent, with the momos really outstanding.

The chicken and lamb were both very tender/flaborful. I got medium spice and was a nice level of heat. It all arrived piping hot. Lamb w butternut tasted like a vindaloo but lacked butternut taste, but was still good despite squash texture. Chicken was similar to a tikka, good. I got basmati rice as a side with one and garlic naan w/ the other. The naan was quite disappointing (sadly), very chewy, thinner than norm and just didn't wow me...and I'm a bread lover! Samosa was ur standard samosa, the dough was thin and crispy at edges and not greasy which I liked. If I didn't have other options nearby with better value for similar flavors, I'd order again.

These are hands down my favorite momos in the Taraval/Sunset. The skin has a nice chew and filling size is perfect. The staff is always so nice and accommodating. Will order from them again.

The Sherpa's Special Thukpa (I selected spicy) but it was so spicy that it was inedible.
The Jhol MoMo was bland. The skin of the momo was thick and there was hardly any filling in it.
I was very unhappy with this meal.
