Shoney’s isn't just a restaurant to us, it is the heart of our family’s memories. Since the 1980s, 5 generations of my family have gathered here, holding hands and sharing smiles from my great-grandma all the way down to my youngest daughter. It has been the ultimate, irreplaceable place in Charleston, West Virginia for my friends and family to celebrate life's biggest milestones, holidays, and feasts.
This time, it was just a special day for me and my youngest daughter, so we DoorDashed our meal right to the house. The food was good and comforting. The best part of the whole thing was giving my daughter her very first plush Shoney bear. It brought back so many memories of the pure joy of receiving my own first bear as a little girl decades ago. Passing that same warmth, love, and tradition down to her filled my heart completely. Time changes the world, but good food keeps the memories forever fresh
