This is hands down one of the best Chipotle Pesto Hummus dishes I’ve ever received through DoorDash from this restaurant. The consistency in quality is always impressive.
Today, the bread was fresh and absolutely delicious—not stale in the slightest. I’ve been trying to cut back on bread, but honestly, this made me want to indulge even more. Oh well—worth it.
Now, I’m very particular about the flavor of Chipotle Pesto Hummus. Once you’ve had it done just right, it’s hard to accept a bland version. But tonight? Zero complaints. The seasoning was on point, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Often, there’s too much hummus and not enough of the chipotle chili kick, so it ends up tasting like plain store-bought hummus. But this time, the ratio was spot-on.
The cucumbers were crisp and plentiful, and the portion of bread was generous as well. Everything worked together beautifully.
Ten out of ten—highly recommend if you’re a hummus lover. This one’s a rare find. Not to knock Flower Child, but if you’ve had their hummus and thought it was good, wait until you try this. It’s fabulous.
I looked up the restaurant and saw it’s based in California, which makes sense—there’s a level of care and craft here that’s hard to come by. I could go on, but I believe in giving credit where it’s due. Amazing job tonight!!

Each time I’ve ordered this dish, I’ve noticed thoughtful improvements, and I genuinely appreciate the attention being given to customer feedback. This round was one of the best yet.
The presentation was clean and inviting, and the temperature was spot-on upon arrival. The hummus was fresh and well-balanced—the chipotle pesto added just the right depth and spice, making it both flavorful and satisfying. The portion was generous without feeling excessive, and the overall balance of components was thoughtfully done.
A standout positive was the bread quantity, which offered a surprisingly ample number of pieces. This shows a commitment to value and pairing balance.
However, the bread’s texture missed the mark slightly—it arrived a bit cold and leaned toward the tougher, slightly stale side. A softer or lightly toasted texture would significantly enhance the experience. I also think the dish would benefit from having the hummus served in a separate container to preserve its freshness and visual appeal.
All in all, I’m rating this 4 out of 5 stars. The flavor profile and portioning were strong points, and with just a few adjustments—particularly to the bread and plating—this could become a signature standout.
Looking forward to ordering again and seeing how this evolves. The progress is evident and appreciated!

I’ve ordered the chipotle hummus from this spot multiple times, and I keep coming back for one reason: the flavor. Tonight’s order really stood out in terms of taste — the chipotle pesto hummus was bold, fresh, and beautifully presented. Sometimes hummus can be bland, but this had depth and a real kick to it. Easily a 4 out of 5.
That said, I did notice a couple small changes from previous orders. Usually, I receive around 15 pita squares; today I only got 8. It’s not a huge issue — maybe we’re all working on healthier portion sizes — but it was a bit surprising. Also, the cucumber side was much smaller this time. Previously, it came in a larger container, almost like a full cucumber sliced up. This time, it was just a small serving dish’s worth.
The biggest suggestion I’d offer: since hummus is meant to be served cold and pita is best warm, it would be ideal if they were packaged separately. When they’re packed together, the textures can get a little off — the pita can go soft or the hummus warms up, which takes away from the experience.
Still, even with those notes, I can honestly say this is one of the best things I’ve found on DoorDash. I don’t really order often unless it’s this. The flavor alone keeps me coming back. With just a little more consistency in portions and packaging, it’d be a perfect 5!

You think you’ve had great hummus—until you try the Chipotle pesto hummus from Sidecar downtown OKC. The warm pita comes packed separately in its own plastic container, keeping it hot while the hummus stays cold. That detail makes a huge difference. It’s fresher, lasts longer, and feels like a thoughtful, elevated experience. It’s hard to find hummus this good. Thank you for doing it right!

An Experience Worth Celebrating
When I opened the to-go box tonight, it felt like unlocking a beautifully organized Pandora’s box of flavor and care. Everything was portioned perfectly and presented with such intention—it honestly looked like a visual masterpiece. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the power of visual appeal in food, and this meal nailed it on every level.
The balance of ingredients was like a perfectly blended smoothie—something anyone can make, but only some can truly perfect. That’s how this dish felt: intentional, balanced, and made by someone who really knows what they’re doing. Whoever prepared this deserves serious recognition.
From the flavor to the aesthetics, it was clear that a lot of effort went into the creation. The cucumbers and hummus especially stood out—though I’d love to see them placed in a small plastic container on the side in the future, just to preserve temperature and texture during delivery.
I’ve had meals that didn’t inspire a review. But tonight’s meal? Absolutely unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who played a part in preparing and delivering it—you made my night.
