Recieved my food to go with no silverware or napkins. Food is super expensive for low quality meat. The meat on the ribs was dry and when I tried to take a bite, I bit through the bone which was like a sponge. By far the weirdest and grossest experience I have ever had eating barbecue.

Second time ordering this time, Rib plate Smoke On The Bone (Rib Plate) with cabbage and mac n cheese. A Old Fashion Hamburger (1/4 Pound) burger for later. It did not disappoint! Smokey Johns is food like Momma made.
First time was Catfish dinner and the fish was seasoned just right with some good flavors. A must go to place!

Ordered Catfish Basket it was the best, tartar sauce is outstanding, no small portions, oh and it is worth the money!!!!

Some of the catfish fillets were a little on the thin side, which made the ratio of crunchy fry to moist fish a bit off. Not every piece of the very ample serving was subject to such overwhelming crunchiness, however!
The house tartar sauce was fantastic, the fries were given an appropriate hit of seasoned salt. Good and good.
I ordered the banana pudding and got the peach cobbler, instead. Rather than get upset over this, I decided to give the ol' cobbler a shot.
There was a scent that reminded me of wet dog as I popped the warm Styrofoam container open. A peachy whisper was under the strong initial whiff of pooch.
The bite to follow was incredibly biased upon my initial assessment. I don't believe I'll order this particular item again.
Maybe my pallet was off from the fish, but the fish was a 4 of 5, but the canine cobbler brought the meal average down to an easy 3 of 5. I didn't factor in the incorrect item, mistakes happen sometimes, and I got warm food in the end.

Banana pudding was terrible. Wafers were dissolving, not just soft and made the pudding clumpy and inedible. Bananas were brown and old. I threw the whole 16oz away.
