This is the best Caribbean restaurant I have had so far. The food is delicious. Portions are good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for delicious Caribbean food.

I have been extremely delighted with finding Soul Food cooking! Their Jerk Pork, Beef Patty , Coleslaw, Pratha (plain Roti) & my personal favorite Curry Chicken Roti (Boneless) are amazing!
I've been a dedicated customer, exclusively with Rainbow Cusine since 1995. When their restaurant closed, I thought Ide never find a replacement better than them!
I was wrong, Soul Food actually has Better Food & I'm now a permanent customer of theirs! Wow! Every single mouthful is like heaven! Their staff are fantastic! My son had Curry Goat & Roti for the 1st time and loved it!
My son was also impressed with their Roti & so was I... I've been making Roti for decades but I'm sold on Soul Food & can retire my rolling pin! What a fantastic restaurant I'm so happy I took time to try their cooking..
They get 10 stars from me!
However; I wasn't impressed with the delivery driver. I 'Pre-tip' 15% which was over $20.00 for my order & I always tip well but according to performance. I would Not have tipped this driver. I'm in a wheelchair & this driver put my large order of food on the ground, was 1/2 way down the stairs before I answered my door. He simply watched as I struggled to pickup my food order & made no effort to help me. I paid over $150.00 for the 4 bags of incredible food which I'll absolutely pay again over & over! I just hope I never get that driver delivery person again! He certainly did not deserve a tip, definitely not the large tip I provided for service!

I have also ordered curry goat and, like the other items, it was delicious. Soul Island Kitchen is my go-to for West Indian food. I have tried other Caribbean restaurants in the KW-Cambridge area but found no other who has food as tasty as Soul Island Kitchen. Definitely worth five stars.

Great meal, the jerk chicken was perfectly spiced. First time ordering, won't be the last. Split a meal Jerk Chicken and added a pound of Jerk Chicken was the perfect amount for two adults. Added a couple Beef Patty , just because.

Ordered jerk pork, rice and peas with coleslaw. Good portions, outstanding flavor for everything and the pork skin wasn't tough like at other places.
