I tried the wings and seafood fried rice combo. The rice was good had great flavor. The wings were nice an crispy the order normally comes with 3 wings but they gave me 4 to compensate for the smaller wings. I will definitely order again.

I ordered the 3 pc. wing w 3pc. Wing w/ Seafood fried rice & a side of the mac and cheese. Now, I’ve experienced Soul Lit Kitchen three times now and this last time I will say they dropped the ball a bit. The Mac and cheese (my favourite) was so bland it tasted like nothing - which is NOT my previous experience w this dish. The seafood fried rice is what I was most excited for as I’d been waiting to try. The flavours were all there, but every few bites I’d encounter HARD, overcooked clumps of rice. The breading on my chicken was AMAZING. I’d try them again, just moreso for their sides and maybe not certain entrees.

Wings look burnt, cabbage was soggy, it said "cabbage and sausage" and there was literally a half of a slice of sausage, macaroni noodles were mushy and I didnt even order macaroni I ordered candied yams. Definitely not worth almost $20 per plate. Didnt even eat it, threw it in the trash.

The rice looked like grits all watery and mushy but it was still hard and uncooked, the greens tasted like they were burnt and cabbage was mushy, also they always send fried pork chops covered in gravy when you ask for smothered.

This place is not consistent as I have ordered more than once. Food was bland, greens were not tender or flavorful. Chicken was charred too much, it looked burnt and tasted old. Ribs were fried in old grease
