Always delicious. Ordered the Paella Valenciana for my Mom's Birthday and the Short Ribs. SO good. We also got the Cazuela and escargot -- to die for. & the octopus was so tender, not overcooked at all - which a lot of places fail at! Perfect meal.

Spanish Tavern has been a favorite of ours for over 25 yrs. Every item on the menu is delicious especially the daily bean soup, paella, their dinner rolls, shrimp dishes, the larger lobsters, the flan, etc etc.Cant go wrong here.

THIS WAS THE MOST DISGUSTING FOOD I HAVE EVER RECEIVED FROM HERE AND I ORDER ALMOST EVERY WEEK...FOR YEARS
THE CONTAINER WAS SO FULL OF LIQUID, IT WAS LIKE SOUP AND THE SPINACH WAS BURIED UNDER IT!
I CALLED THE RESTAURANT AND ASKED FOR THE MANAGER. THEGUY ON THE PHONE, ISAIAH, SAID HE WASN'T THERE AND ONCE I TOLD HIM WHAT WAS GOING ON, THEN SAID HE WAS THE MANAGER....WHAT A WASTED MEAL!

The portion of the Paella Valenciana was huge, but the quality was underwhelming. The seafood was overcooked and overall everything was dry.

I have ordered this exact same shrimp in garlic sauce starter over 20 times. The one that arrived yesterday was half full...meaning about 12-14 little shrimp instead of many more.
Initially, because I have used Spanish Tavern so much over at least 25 years, I thought I would just call them to let a Manager know what I received. Of course, I could have gone through DD to get a refund, but that really wasn't my concern...only to make Spanish Tavern aware.
The woman who answered the call said she was a Manager and I told her who I was and my concern. IMMEDIATELY, and not even an apology, she lit into me, first suggesting that the Dasher may have opened the bag and eaten some of the shrimp!! Then, she said, perhaps, I didn't know what I was ordering. Then, she said, perhaps, they put it in a larger container making it look smaller. THEN, she said it is not their problem and to contact DD! Never once did she say
she was sorry...NOT ONCE!!
She was nothing but rude and dismissive!
