I actually went to SV Cafe in person today. The second I tasted the Coconut Chutney (4 Oz), I IMMEDIATELY door dashed another FIVE orders of it! I also ordered another serving of Tomato Chutney (4oz) and Sambhar (8 oz). Everything was spiced to perfection. I unabashedly order from this restaurant weekly! I'm so happy found this place!!

I spent awhile in southern India in my late teens. This restaurant is the first place I've eaten at that has tasted exactly like the food that I had there. It's consistently good quality- they obviously love making their food. I've been recommending this place to everyone and anyone who will listen! I'll continue to be a longtime customer!

I'm sad because when they're good, they're DIVINE.
Tonight, the mustard seeds (a component in every dish) were bitter, which comes from being burnt in the tadka. Because they were part of every meal, I had a few bites of each and didn't finish anything. The food I paid for and spent delivery fees, service fees, and tipped on couldn't even be finished. It feels like a waste.
Why wouldn't they remake their chutneys and sambar, or put a hold on orders, knowing it tastes like that?! Letting customers pay for something that they know (I HOPE) doesn't taste good. If they didn't know, their quality assurance is lacking, and they deserve the same rating and loss of customers.
I've been huge fan of this place because their recipes taste authentic, but I've noticed that their consistency is average at best.
Every time I order, I anticipate at least one of the chutneys or the sambar to be...left to the side because it's watery or doesn't taste good.
BUT FOR THE ENTIRE MEAL? I'm done.
