• 5/11/24I have been eating from this restaurant for over 7 years. Their fried chicken is delicious. Not over fried, not under fried. Not greasy. Perfect the way fried chicken should be done. Their shrimp fried rice is moist, shrimp is tender to chew. And prices are affordable

• 8/7/25Shrimp Egg Foo Young had a weird smell and taste . The Shrimp Yat Gaw Mein was very good and I like how they gave me the fried onions like I asked instead of the raw ones . Crabmeat Fried Wonton wasn't bad but I wouldn't get them again

• 12/30/25I always order Shrimp Egg Foo Young & Shrimp Fried Rice, both with extra shimp. Everything is always cooked to perfection, gravy isn't heavy & gloppy like other places. Fried rice sometimes needs to be warmed up a couple of mins for my preferred tenderness. Their white rice goes great with my home cooking. Everything tastes EXTREMELY fresh. Nothing I've had is over seasoned. Fresh foods speak for themselves at SunWah.
Sometimes, I get the crab rangoon. You don't taste the crab meat. But, the flavored cream cheese tastes good & pairs well with the red dipping sauce. I love the spring rolls, crisp on the outside & great veggie tenderness on the inside. I'm not a fan of the Shrimp Toast. I've ordered it 3 times & each time it was over fried & lacked the absolute fresh flavor of the other entrees & appetizers I get there.
There steamed jumbo shrimp is mother's milk: fresh, plump & juicy. I've ordered their Sautéed Broccoli & Snow Peas. They're tender but don't disintegrate.

• 11/7/25The Shrimp Egg Foo Young is near flawless. The patty is tasty, I do add extra shrimp cuz I want this meal to stretch and gravy on the side. The white rice warms up nicely and cooked perfectly (not hard, mushy or gunky). I use the white rice for meals I cook. I order Shrimp Fried Rice with extra shrimp to go with the egg foo young. I get multiple meals this way and it freezes well. Sometime I have to add a little salt and sometimes I don't.
The large steamed shrimp are plump, fresh and flavorful.
The spring rolls are pretty good but you'll definitely want to add more shrimp. ...just because there may only be a couple...
Crab ragoon is yummy. It has a sweet and creamy taste and texture. the outside is crisp and not oily. Best if eaten while hot tho.
Everytime we find an excellent Chinese food spot (a rare breed in MD), they eventually close or change management and then the food quality plummeted. Prayers up for Sun Wah's continued quality and longevity!!

• 12/31/24The YAT is out of this world I typically order from Sun WH anyway when im dying for Chinese and they always hit the spot but this YAT ...ive had this now ..idk how many times and obviously the Fried Chicken Wings is bomb but that YAT I need yall to try it. I did remove most of the onions but it comes with more than enough and egg
