The Butterfish (White Maguro) Sushi (2 Pcs.) pieces were smaller than the sashimi pieces and not worth the cost. You're better off with a handroll. Everything else was great especially the Premium 44A. Premium Sashimi (24 Pcs.)

:( Our New Years feast was a hugely disappointing rip off. Smallest amount of sushi I've ever seen - for nearly $150!!! Teeny tiny boring rolls. The sushi pizza was tiny and disgusting - blob of greasy rice with some salmon on top. The Maki combo was a terrible choice for value and taste. Never again Sushi Gen.

Ive always loved Sushi Gen, and I've eaten in the restaurant and ordered takeout from them many, many times- I usually get the 58. Katsu Udon, and it is almost always great! Of the many times I've had it, this is maybe only the second or third time that I've been disappointed.
The noodles were too soft and felt overcooked, and the lettuce in the soup was brown and wilted, so I picked most of it out. The broth was great and so was the katsu, but when the noodles are bad it kind of ruins the whole thing.
I have had many positive experiences with the katsu don and Sushi Gen as a whole, so even though I was disappointed I'm happy to give Sushi Gen another chance! It really is my favourite restaurant.

Hot items were placed in the same bag with sushi and salad. Should have been separate. Salad was wilted... and the sushi was mushy. The salmon teriyaki had TOO much black pepper overpowered the taste. Disappointing experience.
