Colton Roll is a very large deep fried roll. While it fell apart along the bottom seam on some pieces, given its sheer girth, I have no complaints. The bigger the better, am I right? The flavor was good and I really like multi-textured foods. This roll did not disappoint.
Stuffed Jalapeños. Don't get me wrong, they were good but not my favorite. I was actually hoping these were stuffed with spicy tuna and cream cheese, have these "Jalapeno Boats" back home that are to die for. For reference, that restaraunt is an hour away.
Chicken Cutlets thinly sliced chicken breast, deep fried in bread crumb panko and served over a bed of rice. The chicken had a faint smell, like my dino nuggys coming out the freezer? Could be frozen fresh that's been in the freezer a bit. Still edible and my super snobby dog liked it.
Cal Roll is one of those rolls I ALWAYS order to rate a restaurant, it's a metric I used to tell "how lazy" their rolls are going to be made for the cheapest rolls on the menu. Do they chop and season the crab stick or leave it whole? Its like white glove cleaning, if the details are skipped, what else am I going to find? This roll was girthy, combining avocado creaminess with finely chopped and nicely seasoned crabstick, it's quite possible the crab was prepared with a little cream cheese to boot! There's a lot of flavor going on in this roll and well worth the consideration.
Tiger Roll seems like a new concept , I've not come across anything like it before, most notably, each bite seemed to be dipped in chili oil. Now, one might think that oil in rice means it'll fall apart (rice n butter anyone?) but some of the pieces actually had a mochi type texture. The avocado topper was done with perfectly thin slices - as in not wedge shaped. The cayenne dusting was just right and added a southwestern flair at the end of the bite, its a nice touch to taste the spicy tuna up front and followed by a southwest kick while you're working through the chewy texture of the chili oil/rice and creamy avocado. Well done IMO!

• 7/9/24The Baked Lobster Rolls are amazing so umami and delicious, and the sauces really take this above and beyond. The Gyoza are also really yummy, crispy and flavor with a spicy sauce.
