Had my first experience with this Japanese restaurant and I am soooo happy I chose this place. While it was pricey, it was worth the money as they provided great portions and the food was delicious! Had enough for 2 days of meals! Will be returning/recommending this place to family/friends for sure ;)

Sushishima is hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the San Antonio area. Whether dining in or ordering through DoorDash, the food is consistently excellent, beautifully prepared, and always feels special.
The menu is packed with standout dishes, and many of them feel truly unique to Sushishima in the San Antonio area. My favorites that keep me coming back are the Oshinko Sampler, Uni Over Scallop Deluxe, Crown Ika BBQ, Crispy Soft-Shell Crab, Wagy-Uni, Naruto — and honestly, basically everything on the menu! Every visit seems to turn into discovering another favorite.
The chefs are knowledgeable, well-trained, and clearly take pride in what they serve. The quality, presentation, and consistency are exactly what set this place apart. The staff is also friendly and welcoming, which makes dining in a pleasure, but the food also travels surprisingly well for delivery.
Sushishima is one of those rare restaurants that delivers on every level: creative dishes, great service, excellent execution, and peak consistency, and most importantly, they don't cancel last minute orders like Kumori does! I cannot recommend Sushishima highly enough.

Sushiama is a truly authentic Japanese restaurant. They have become a new favorite for me. Not only is the food flavorful they pay attention to special requests. I ordered the Stir Fried Rice with vegetables to ensure I got a bigger focus on them and asked to add chicken and they got it right. Stir Fried Rice is fresh and light.
The Yaki Soba reminds me of my time spent in Japan. This street food classic will keep you coming back for more. It is a light comfort food that is still right around 500 calories per serving.
I highly recommend Sushiama as your next Asian dining experience.

great portions for the price. I love Japanese cooking and Sushishima is authentic.

Chef Special Roll - cant recommend enough! this goes crazy, if youre unsure what to order, get this. Chef knows best
Paradise Roll - this item sets the standard for sushi rolls in this city.
Miso Soup - warm and delicious
Rihaku Cloud Sake(300ml) - flavors were more subtle than anticipated but still solid. 3.5/5 on this bottle.
